- Week 7—After going through this course and learning about different technology tools, please write a post entitled the Top 10 Tech Tools I Can’t Live Without.
1. Twitter: I have been using twitter for quite some time to express myself. Since I have been in this course, I have found other ways to use it in a professional manner. Twitter can help you find and follow others and pay attention to what is happening. This semester, I must say that tweeting with my classmates was an advantage because we were able to connect and find solutions to our homework before contacting the teacher.
2. Wiki Spaces: I have to admit. At first, this assignment was a bit hard. I wanted to cry. I must say that I learned a lot from it. Using wiki spaces would be an advantage for parents and teachers to communicate.
3. APPS: I have found apps to be very useful. Parents and teachers can find different interactive games to help children meet the goals and objectives they are trying to reach for educational use.,
4. Delicious: I enjoyed using delicious because I was able to bookmark helpful resources that I can go back and use from time to time such as: online games and learning resources.
5. Animoto: I will definitely use this. Especially, for my own children sake. Just to record videos of my children will be fun and exciting for them. I will be using this website again. Fun!
6. Bubbl.us: there's a first for everything. I must say that using this site reminded me about making a web to a story. I will use this again. Using this tech tool will help me to plan more efficiently for my children in the future.
7. Personal Blog: I find that using a personal blog will be a useful tool to parents to keep up with what is going on in a child's classroom. I can use a personal blog to give an outline about what is going on and if they need to bring any items to school for field trips, class projects, or whatever is needed in the classroom.
8. Worksheet and Puzzle Generator: I must say that children love doing puzzles and worksheets. I will be able to use these tools to work with children one-on-one during our interaction activities.
9. IPhone/Smart phones: I must say that it is a good thing to have either/or. This semester,I must say that I was able to tweet and nearly do all these activities using my IPhone. One other thing I must add is that I was able to call my professor if I could not understand the instructions for class.
10. Glogster: I will be using this tech tools as well to prepare my lessons. I found that using gloster was a very creative and unique.
Hi Clarissa,
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed reading your technology tools you could not live without. Technology today has increased tremendously since I been out of grade school. I agree with apps technology tool. The apps store makes it possible for adults to purchase apps to help children engage and be interactive learners on the go. I have purchased many apps in my classroom that are child and age appropriate for preschool children. Great post.
I agree. We have learned a lot of technology tools this semester! I think learning about the wiki was my favorite! I was scared about it. When I saw it on the syllabus, I panicked. I wondered what in the world a wiki is. I am glad I learned about them. I love that they can be used for any subject area! Great list!
ReplyDeleteI agree that there were lots of useful tools introduced in the class. I was a bit frustrated at times, but I am going to use the tools until they become an integral part of my classroom.
