Week 6-mobile apps

  1. Week 6—What mobile apps are available for your subject area? List and describe at least 4 apps that could be used on a smartphone, iPod, or iPad in the classroom. There are mobile apps for education sections in each of the subject area chapters in the Roblyer and Doering book.

 

I am a 4/5 year old preschool teacher.  I have found many apps that I can use daily with my children that are fun and educational.  There are many apps that are free and there are many that you have to pay for.  I use an IPAD daily to navigate apps that are beneficial to the students that I serve daily.  These apps are very useful and helpful to students to help enhance their learning skills.  These apps are:

 

Name that number: is a games that kindergartners can practice computation and order of operations.

 

ABC go:is a wonderful educational app that teaches children a variety of words related to modes of transportation and is a great addition to kindergartners. 

 

ABC Farm:explores food, animals, and other items on the farm. 

 

8 Planets:  Students will enjoy learning about the planets and earning ribbons in games testing their knowledge.

 

Doodle Buddy: students will enjoy creating their own masterpiece by using a variety of tools  will enjoy creating their own masterpiece using a variety of tools. next masterpiece using a variety of tools. This app really helps their eye-hand coordination.
